The Keeping Ballroom Community Alive Network presents the Second Annual Ballroom Symposium! This event is designed to unite NYC LGBTQ communities of color in an effort to highlight the collective talents of the city's house and ball community. This year’s theme is reclaiming the narrative; In the face of structural oppression, increasing visibility of state-sanctioned violence and police brutality, erasure and growing health disparities, how do we ensure that our life stories and histories are truly our own?

We will host a series of talks and workshops intended to

  1. Identify and promote methods of strengthening social resources exchanged within HBC.
  2. Unite and affirm members of NYC House Ball Community and their allies via art and dialogue.
